The dinner panel was a very emotional experience for me. Trying to come up with solutions that fix the problem of homelessness made me think back when I was younger and didn't have a home. Every day my mom would take us to school at six in the morning; my sisters and I would stay in a after school program until six in the evening. Due to this after school program my mom was able to get us out of that hole and get us a place we called home. I felt that at the end of this discussion we all knew that this problem was to broad. But we thought that if we could help those people who really want to improve their lives, maybe we could start there. |

T3 was truly a valuable day; I had an awesome time building my leadership skills. The day started out with a panelist of great leaders from the Long Beach community! They answered questions regarding work ethics, volunteering and balancing life. The afternoon was filled with various interesting workshops, which provide students with leadership development skills. These skills gained, will help me in my roles within the community and my personal life. |

CSULB and Long Beach Transit is offering U-Pass -- free bus and Passport shuttle rides for all CSULB students and staff year-round. The successful month-long trial period saw an increase of ridership from about 1,200 daily to 4,000 at CSULB. All current students and staff need is a valid CSULB ID to swipe through the farebox machine on the bus or Passport shuttle. Remember: It's not just for school -- you can take the bus anywhere, anytime for free. CSULB ASI |
